Dear everyone, We are delighted to announce that, the 'Freshers Reception Program' for the newly joined members has been arranged by IEEE RUET SB on 14 February, 2019 at ECE Building, RUET. The Chief guests of this program were our honorable teachers, Prof. Dr. S.M. Abdur Razzak, Dean, Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering,Advisor,IEEE RUET SB and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdul Goffar Khan, Professor, Dept. of Electrical and Electronics Engineering,Former Counsellor,IEEE RUET SB. The program had it's beginning by their valuable speech. After that the present chair of our branch Md. Injamam Ul Haque presented some words for the new comers about IEEE and it's benefits. The chair of IAS Md. Fazley Rabbi and the chair of WIE Nishat Subha also delivered their speech as well. There was also some arrangements of kits for the freshers. Then a quiz competition was held. The first four ones were presented with gifts. After that they were provided with some snacks. Finally a short introduction of the executive committee members with the new comers took place and the program had it's end. It was really a great day with the accomplishment of a formal meet up with new members.
It started at 3 pm. The speaker Abul Al Arabi led the session with his excellent skills and shared his great experiences related to IoT. After delivering some basic knowledge over Arduino, python operations, Wi-Fi devices the speaker also showed an architectural assimilation of IoT.
The participants were very charmed by the great presentation of the speaker. The session was concluded by presenting crest to the speaker and a photo session segment.
After the session, there was some arrangement of refreshments for the participants.
The second session was on “Power Electronics” which was held on 9th November, 2018 at ECE Seminar room.
The speaker Shuvangkar Chandra Das delivered a wonderful presentation on the importance of power electronics and it’s revolution. He also presented basics of Inverter, design of a Pure Sine Wave inverter, inverter design topology, its challenges, hardware implementation, programs etc. The presentation was very helpful.
After the session, our honorable guests Shams Shad Islam Khan (Chair, IEEE Bangladesh Section SAC), A R M Abdullah Rocky (Chair, IEEE Young Professionals Bangladesh) and Dr. Mohammad Moshiul Hoque(Conference Coordinator, IEEE Bangladesh Section) delivered their speeches regarding the activities and the role of IEEE in engineers life.
Shams Shad Islam Khan presented a slide to familiarize the students with IEEE activities and he also presented the list of achievements of Bangladesh Section. There was a small quiz segment to keep the session lively. Winners were gifted with t-shirts, key rings and caps.
Honourable Tasnim Binte Shawkat mam( Lecturer, Dept. of ECE, RUET) presented crests to the speaker and honorable guests. She concluded the event with her speech urging the guests to cooperate our branch in arranging bigger events.
IEEE RUET Student Branch has successfully organized the workshop on “Power Electronics and IoT Based Robotics” on 8th and 9th November, 2018 at ECE Seminar Room, ECE Building, RUET.
The total number of participants was 85 including both IEEE members and non-members. The workshop was divided into two sessions. The first session was on “IOT based Robotics” which was held on 8th November, 2018.
The IEEE Day 2018 was celebrated by IEEE RUET Student Branch on October 9, 2018 with day-long activities. A total number of 80 members joined this program. The celebration started at 1:30 pm with a rally from the premises of EEE building. This phase ended with photo session segment. A human IEEE chain was a noteworthy part of this segment. The 2nd phase of the program was held at ECE Seminar room on ECE building, RUET. Our honourable counsellor Dr. Md. Samiul Habib Sir and Tasnim Binte Shawkat madam, Lecturer, Dept. of ECE were present there. The second phase of the program started at 4:30 pm by cutting the IEEE Day Cake with all the guests and all the members. After that, our honorable guests gave some valuable speech regarding the IEEE Day and importance of IEEE in the Career of an Engineering student.
Next, the program consisted of a Rubik's cube solving competition conducted by Mim Naz Rahman, Section Ambassador of IEEE Day 2018, IEEE Bangladesh Section. This competition was held in three segments. Samiul Islam from Dept. of ECE secured the first position with a stunning average of only 26.45 seconds. The second position was obtained by Md. Imam Hossain from Dept. of EEE with an average time of 65.67 seconds.
Then the interactive session (dividing the participants into groups) was held which was conducted by Nowshin Jahan Risha, Treasurer of IEEE RUET Student Branch. This session was comprised of an interesting segment with balloons and a brainstorming segment with questions. Group C was declared the winner of this session.
At the last portion of the event, Md. Omar Faruk Mazumder, Former Secretary of IEEE RUET Student Branch and Milton Kumar Kundu, Former Chair of IEEE RUET Student Branch gave away the prizes among the winners.
IEEE RUET Student Branch celebrated their ninth anniversary on September 18, 2018 at RUET cafeteria. Prof. Dr. S.M. Abdur Razzak Sir, the advisor of IEEE RUET Student Branch, dean, faculty of ECE was present there as an honorable guest. He inaugerated the ceremony by cutting the cake.
After this ceremony, another part of the celebration, interactive session had started. There was a quiz contest which was mainly based on the journey of IEEE RUET SB. Then, the winning team was presented attractive prizes by Milton Kumar Kundu, former chair, IEEE RUET SB. Three sessions were conducted after the interactive session. Injamam Ul Haque, Chair, IEEE RUET SB took the session on IEEE Xtreme, Fazley Rabbi, Chair, IEEE RUET IAS Student Branch Chapter took the session on IEEEMadC and Mim Naz Rahman, Secretary, IEEE RUET SB took the session on IEEE Day 2018.
About 40 members participated on this program. With a photo session segment, the ceremony came to an end.
IEEE RUET Student Branch has hosted the contest “The Ultimate Innovator Hunt” on 13th July, 2018 with 60 participants at ECE seminar room, RUET. The program started at around 10 am. Prof. Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam Mondal sir, Prof. Dr. Ajay Krishno Sarkar sir, and Ms. Tasnim Binte Shawkat madam were the honorable judges of this contest. They examined the projects, talked with the participants and imparted further suggestions for the better modifications of their projects. After a lunch break, Prof. Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam Mondal sir took a session (technical talk) on “FPGA Applications in Education”. Meanwhile Prof. Ramalatha Marimuthu, SS12 chair delivered her valuable speech for the contestants through online. After the final speech of the judges, Prof. Dr. Ajay Krishno Sarkar sir presented both Tasnim Binte Shawkat madam and Prof. Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam Mondal sir token of appreciation.
The name of the four selected teams were declared after this segment who are going to take part in the SS12 Innovation challenge and Maker Fair 2018’s “Maker Fair” track which will be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka on September, 2018. The selected teams are as follows:

The honorable guest Prof. Dr. S.M. Abdur Razzak, the advisor of IEEE RUET Student Branch and IEEE RUET WIE Student Branch Affinity Group, Dean, faculty of ECE, RUET and Tasnim Binte Shawkat, Lecturer, Dept. of ECE, RUET inaugurated the celebration along with the members of IEEE RUET Student Branch by cutting cake. Then the second phase started.This phase was conducted by our trainers Nouf Nur Nabilah and Md. Shadman Shakib. During the two hours session, they talked about the designing software and different types of tools and their applications. Then they showed the participants how to design posters, logos and certificates and cooperated the participants to design some popular logo on their own. The participants learned the terms enough. The feedback was so good. After the workshop, our honorable guest Prof. Dr. S.M Abdur Razzak sir presented both trainers certificate as a token of appreciation. Finally, thanks to all for making our program a successful one.

IEEE RUET Student Branch organized a free seminar on "Thesis Paper Writing Publication Using KSI Method " with around 110 participants on March 25, 2018, at ECE Seminar room, RUET. The seminar was conducted by Md. Kamal Uddin, Ph.D., Senior Lecturer, Department of Land Management, Faculty of Agriculture University Putra Malaysia. At first, he described importance's and benefits of KSI (Keyword Sequence Importance) in writing a thesis paper. The participants learned the present and future activities of thesis, citation collection from a journal, how to paraphrase citation properly, result writing, and review paper and so on. The seminar was informative and helpful for participants. By the end of the seminar, an interactive session was arranged in which some questions were asked by the speaker and those who could give the correct answers were provided certificates from the honorable speaker. After this session, the seminar came to end.
"Thesis and Publication" are two topmost matters of concern for the final year students. So it's a must for all of us to be an expert in this field to compete for the world. The goal of our seminar is to enlighten everyone with the knowledge of saving time, increasing the quality of thesis writing, fast publishing, review paper and research finding and reducing mental stress. Since writing a quality thesis is surely a problematic process. So it's the crucial part specifically needed to be constructed effectively to ensure the students produce high impact papers. KSI (Keywords, Sequence, Importance) technique is proved to be an effective method to enable the students to graduate on time and publish papers in the reputable journal. And this technique is going to be the center topic of our seminar.

IEEE RUET Student Branch has successfully organized the Seminar on IEEE Membership Development on 8th February, 2018 at ECE Seminar Room, RUET. Prof. Dr. Celia Shahnaz, Chair, IEEE Bangladesh Section, Md Zakaria Haider, Secretary, IEEE Bangladesh Section and Md Romael Haque, Treasurer, IEEE Bangladesh Section were present as the honorable speakers of the event. The seminar started at 2:30 PM. Though it was the middle of the day and scorching sun was on top the head to remind the last few days of winter, around 70 students including both IEEE members and non-members were present. Honorable Chair of IEEE Bangladesh Section, Dr. Celia Shahnaz started her session by sharing her achievements and all the odds she faced along with other trailblazers in bringing the section in such a magnificent position. She put lights on the different tracks the section has worked on in the last few years for the professional and ethical development of the members. Then, in his session, MD. Romael Haque who is the Treasurer of IEEE Bangladesh Section, showed the membership growth of the section which is the highest in the entire world. He further showed all the awards the section or the maestros of the section have achieved. Later, Mohammad Zakaria Haider who is the Secretary of IEEE Bangladesh Section, in his session discussed about how to develop a humanitarian project as well as how IEEE Bangladesh Section has patronized different humanitarian activities which resulted to be the best section in humanitarian activities worldwide. In the meanwhile, our beloved sir Prof. Dr. Ajay Krishna Sarkar, Head, Dept. of EEE, RUET arrived on the seminar. End of the seminar, Dr. Ajay Krishna Sarkar presented gifts to our honorable speakers as a sign of gratitude. The seminar was a highly effective one as the participants came to learn a variety of aspects of IEEE as well as the glorious journey of IEEE Bangladesh Section.
The forth international conference of RUET which is ICEEE 2017 has taken place on 27th, 28th and 29th of the instant. In this momentous event Dr. Celia Shahnaz, Professor, Dept. of EEE, Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) was present as one of the Keynote Speakers and also the Session Chair. In technical paper writing such as Thesis papers, Research articles, Journals, even during writing a book, adding references is a must. But while adding a huge number of references, a writer faces many difficulties. In order to make it easier, software is used. EndNote is the most popular one for this kind of task. It is important to know about EndNote in details to lessen difficulties while writing a technical paper. Hence, IEEE RUET Student Branch organized a workshop titled “EndNote: An Efficient Assistant for Paper Publication” on January 13, 2017.
What is EndNote?
EndNote is a citation software package. It is produced by Thomson Reuters and commercially used to manage bibliographies and references when writing technical articles.
Why should be EndNote used?
Engineering student often has to write a thesis paper and sometimes other technical papers. Adding references while maintaining the formatting and numbering is quite time consuming and really challenging. Using EndNote makes it easier to add the references while maintaining the format guideline. It helps writer to cite large number of references without repetition. Also, the practice of adding references through citation software is beneficial to future authors of research articles.

IEEE RUET Student Branch presents a seminar on “Effective Communication for Higher Education and Science & Engineering Outreach” on 3rd December, 2016 (Saturday) at RUET Auditorium.
In this current world of professionalism, experience of international education is an exquisite criterion to be added up to someone’s resume. That is why ‘Higher Study Abroad’ is now-a-days among the thoughts of most undergraduate students. But, it is unfortunate that many of them often fail to grab the opportunity of Higher Education due to their inefficiency in communicating with the proper authority. Considering this issue, IEEE RUET Student Branch has come up with the topic “Effective Communication for Higher Education”. In this part of the seminar, participants will get chance to receive a proper guideline about important facts that will help them in communicating with the proper authority for higher education effectively. As our honourable speaker is from Canada, there will also be an opportunity to have a fair idea about the Higher Education system in Canada.
We know that from the beginning of human civilization when man first discovered fire, the main objective was to serve humanity through the implementation of science and technology. But, it’s a bitter truth that most of us have forgotten this concept. We study to pass the exams and feel no interest in learning new things or implementing technologies for a better tomorrow. The seminar will include a session for motivating young minds to work for people and reaching out to the communities from which they came to return the favour. “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow”- the theme of IEEE Day says a lot about this day. Worldwide celebrations of this day demonstrate the ways thousands of IEEE members in local communities join together to collaborate on ideas that leverage technology for a better tomorrow. The IEEE Day team, made up of student volunteers, young professionals and staff are working hard to fulfil its purpose that is to initiate, motivate, and coordinate events and efforts to celebrate this day worldwide.
With huge delight we would like to inform that IEEE RUET Student Branch was the host of “Celebration of IEEE Day 2016”, organized by IEEE Bangladesh Section. To celebrate this year’s IEEE Day in a more festive way, the following activities were going to be parts of the celebration:

The writing contest was organized by IEEE RUET WIE Student Branch Affinity Group in association with IEEE RUET Student Branch.
Presentation skill…Is there any sector where it is not necessary? The answer will surely be negative. It is a must at interviews, at meetings, speaking to colleagues and staff, presenting at conferences, presenting training, attending training and so on. For the students, the value of this skill is beyond description. It’s not only a skill but also an art nowadays. But, it is so much unfortunate for us that most people don’t know anything about a smart presentation. They don’t know well how to present themselves, their ideas, their inventions etc. Even some of them cannot conduct well with others. But, the primary goal is for one’s presentation skills to be better than his/her competitors, whoever and whatever they are. The secondary goal is for your presentations to get better with every speech that you deliver. So, to be the best in one’s business, having the presentation skill will help him a lot.
Well, there are some strategies to follow to give a fantastic presentation. Even, there are some facts to maintain a presentation within a given time. Through those strategies a person can be successful to be prepared for any presentation. IEEE RUET Student Branch is very much aware in this regard and thus it organized a workshop on ‘Presentation facts and strategies’ for its members.

Technology is changing very fast and the people with the help of this technology are being upgraded dynamically. University can become the platforms by organizing innovative events to update not only the students but their surroundings. From the very beginning IEEE RUET Student Branch has been hosting innumerable technical events in order to encourage the students to come forward with innovative ideas and prove themselves. To continue this flow, IEEE RUET Student Branch organized a nation level competition titled “Robo-Droid Championship-2016” supported by EMK Centre, Dhaka. Robo-Droid Championship-2016, an interuniversity competition,was basically consists of three contests. At the same time, recognized professionals in these sectors will attend as speaker for technical seminar which was arranged during the program. The competitions, which was organized, are following:
1. Line follower robot competition: Technology is the fast growing industry as of right now and it has no signs of slowing down anytime soon. The robot revolution has already begun and tech optimists believe this revolution will boost productivity and bring economic growth. Building a line follower is considered as first step in this sector. So, a line follower robot competition, which is designed to motivate the beginners in this sector, will be arranged in this program.
2. Maze Solver Robot Competition: The advancement in robotics is increasing day by day. They are now used in different sectors to serve humanity. Scientists and engineers of different countries are engaged to build intelligent robot. To inspire students, a robotic competition on maze solving will be arranged in this program. This program is designed to prepare students for international level robotic competition and enhance their skill in advanced robotics.
3. Mobile App Contest: At present, smart phone has become a part of our daily life. So, there is huge demand of new app for smart phone to fulfill customer’s demand. The apps are used for entertainment and sometimes as a solution of social problem. An app development contest will be organized in this program to encourage students about involving their creativity in this sector. .
From the very beginning, IEEE RUET Student Branch has focused on enhancing students’ knowledge on the various fields of technology. To take another step towards this goal, IEEE RUET Student Branch hosted an intra RUET competition which took place on 7th April, 2016. The competition involves Line Follower Robot Competition, Maze Solving Robot Competition and App Development Competition. This competition had been designed for preparing students of RUET for upcoming national event titled “Robo-Droid Championship-2016”. This competition created create an opportunity for enhancing skills of young talents.
Line Follower Robot: A Line Follower Robot is an autonomous robot which is able to follow either a black or white line that is drawn on the surface consisting of a contrasting color. It is designed to move automatically and follow the made plot line. These robots are very popular with university students. A line follower robot competition has been included in this program for making students interested in robotics.
Maze Solver Robot: It is based on one of the most important areas of robot, which is “Decision Making Algorithm”. The robot is placed in unknown environment, and it requires having a good decision making capability to reach goal. So, a maze solving robot competition is going to be organized in this program for enriching skills of the students.
Mobile Application Development Contest: The number of smart phone users is increasing at a high rate. They are very popular, because of amazing apps. Developers have involved themselves to meet demand. So, an app development contest will be organized to motivate students in this sector.

Now IEEE RUET Student Branch has taken a project to improve its members’ technical skill. In this regard, IEEE RUET Student Branch arranged this workshop for members. The members needed to form a team of up to 5 members to take part in this workshop.
It was a four days’ workshop. It is designed to introduce the way of developing mobile app for Android OS. Participants acquired knowledge about starting their career in this sector.
This workshop was also an awareness program for “IEEEmadC 3.0” which is designed only for the members of IEEE.

It was two days’ workshop. By attending this workshop, participants got overview on line follower robot with an introductory knowledge about maze solver robot and they were able to build their own robot. They also got chance to know about problems which may be faced and their solutions. The speakers also shared experience of participating in different competitions.

IEEE RUET Student Branch presents “Guide to Prepare and Publish Technical Paper”, a seminar providing a comprehensive understanding of the importance of writing a technical paper and participants was provided with simple yet powerful strategies and skills that may be implemented into their writing and publishing a technical paper.
To encourage more participation of female students in technological research and professional activities, for the first time IEEE RUET Student Branch offered free registration facilities to the female participants in this seminar.

We 've so many questions about higher studies in our mind.
How should we take prepararion? On which country we should go? Which subject is better for me? How the funding or scholarship will be arranged? Should I do I.L.T.S or TOEFL or GRE? etc. etc.
To answer all these and many more questions IEEE RUET Student Branch organized a seminar on tomorrow 9 June, at 4.00 PM in RUET auditorium.
The United States has one of the world's finest university system. The United States has more institutions of higher learning than any other country in the world. Importantly, the academic bodies provide absolute quality education. Studying in the United States and abroad does not just give you tangible degrees and certificates. For any international student, the USA has a lot to offer: one of the most prestigious, top ranked higher education systems in the world, eclectic cities and beautiful natural parks, culture, history and a very multicultural population. So IEEE RUET Student Branch organized a seminar titled “Seminar on higher education in the US”. In this seminar opportunities of Bangladeshi students to study in US was discussed.

Generation of power in Bangladesh is still primitive and can not satisfy our total requirement. The ultimate solution to this is the Nuclear power. So we really need to focus on this great source of power. So IEEE RUET Student Branch organized a seminar titled “Introduction to Nuclear Power Plant in BD” Where the prospects of this kind of power generation, its advantages and disadvantages were discussed. The orientation of Bangladesh to nuclear power will be through the 'Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant' which is expected to pave the way for national development to a great extent.

An IT based Quiz contest was arranged on the same day
RoboTour & Programming Contest was organized and managed jointly by IEEE RUET Student Branch and Dept. of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology. It is granted by The American Center of U. S. Embassy, Dhaka.
The purpose of “RoboTour and Programming Contest” was to start a small initiative to create a networking and development platform for the engineering students who are interested in robotics and programming. The whole event was to be held for two long days. There were seminars for the interested students on career development, robotics and programming in this two days event along with the robotic and programming contest. The seminar was conducted by renowned speakers to increase the view of robotics among the students. We had attractive amount of money as a prize for both the programming and robotic winners. Considering all the fact, we had given emphasis on this event only to expose the potentiality of the engineering students in robotics and programming.
Most importantly, our Programming Contest was categorised into two parts. Category-1 is open for all the undergraduate students of all UGC approved universities of Bangladesh and Category-2 is open for only the undergraduate students of Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET).The second category was introduced only to encourage the junior programmers of RUET.

Technological Development is based on acquiring knowledge in different technical sector and their implementation. IEEE RUET Student Branch has a goal to inspire students for involving themselves in implementation of their acquired knowledge through every program. To continue this flow, IEEE RUET Student Branch arranged a program titled “Green Brain 2015” sponsored by The American Center, U. S. Embassy- Dhaka. Four competitions including seminars were arranged. Details of the competitions are following:
1. Electronics based project competition: Manual work is being replaced by automatic system day by day. Electronics devices have a great impact in this sector. An Electronics Based Project Competition can give students opportunity to implement their ideas to improve this sector. In this competition, participants will bring electronics based projects which have utility towards humanity.
2. Idea contest: Most of the time, students have technology based ideas which can be implanted in business sector. But, they do not get opportunities to express their ideas and to make them applicable. This competition will give them a stage to show their creativity. The main goal of competition is creating a platform to spread entrepreneurship among students.
3. Poster design competition: Natural disasters often cause death and serious damages. The bad effects can be reduced by using latest technologies. A poster design competition based on “Defense against natural disaster by technology” will be arranged in this program. Participants of the competition will bring poster to show their concept related to the topic on the date of competition.
4. Article writing competition: An article writing competition will be arranged only for female students. In the competition, the participants will write on a topic titled “Your thoughts on advancing Humanitarian causes through technology”. The participants should be present personally on the competition to take part.
EEE RUET Student Branch organized a Seminar on "Microcontroller & Introduction to Robotics".
The event coverd both the "basic" & "advance" level of topics which will help the participants to encourage themselves with their own creativity.
As microcontroller is one of the major engineering tools for Electrical, Mechanical and Computer Engineers with broad level of application including robotics, our seminar can helped the engineering students of RUET to explore the amazing field of microcontroller and robotics.

IEEE Day is a global event to be held every year on the first Tuesday of October, annually. This was going to be the 5th time in the history. All the engineers around the world were going to celebrate this day with great enthusiasm. The theme of the IEEE Day was "Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow". Therefore, IEEE RUET Student Branch had taken its initiative to make this day livelier for the engineering students.
This year our Branch was going to celebrate this day by organizing a technological based competition among all the students.
The competition was to write on the “Latest inventions in Technology and its impact on our near future life.”
This task had been taken to motivate and make our engineers get familiar with the new innovations of modern technology.
IEEE RUET Student Branch arranged a workshop on "Mobile Application Development”, supported by IEEE Bangladesh Section on 20 & 21 March, 2017.
IEEEmadC (Mobile Applications Development Contest) is an annual international contest organized by IEEE for all IEEE student members across the globe. Teams from different student branches under IEEE Bangladesh Section took part in this contest in the previous years. In order to groom the students for the contest and boost up their participations, Student Activities Committee of IEEE Bangladesh Section (IEEE BDS SAC) had taken the initiative to support a series of technical workshops on Mobile Application Development in collaboration with different Student Branches under IEEE Bangladesh Section. IEEE RUET Student Branch is one of the five selected student branches for organizing this workshop.
Development of creative and user friendly mobile applications is making our living easier and more efficient. Hence, this skill is in high demand. This workshop offers you the opportunity to have a good start as a beginner in Mobile Application Development.
Kits & snacks were provided and certificates were also given to the participants.

IEEE RUET WIE Student Branch Affinity Group organized “Workshop on Latex and PCB Designing” in association with WIE Affinity Group, IEEE Bangladesh Section on April 21st-22nd, 2017 at ECE Seminar Room, ECE Building, RUET.
LaTeX, a shortening for Lamport TeX, is a widely used document preparation system. The acceptability of a thesis paper quite depends upon the efficiency of the preparation of the writer’s documents. LaTeX comes handy in this regard. According to the LaTeX project website, the features that this software provides are:
*Type setting journal articles, technical reports, books, and slide presentations.
*Control over large documents containing sectioning, cross-references, tables and figures.
*Type setting of complex mathematical formulas.
*Advanced type setting of mathematics with AMS-LaTeX.
*Automatic generation of bibliographies and indexes.
*Inclusion of artwork, and process or spot colour.
*Using PostScript or Metafont fonts
Writing a quality scientific research paper is important for both pre and post graduate students. As IEEE RUET WIE Student Branch Affinity Group always aims at providing students the best assistance needed, we are arranging this workshop. PCB, the printed circuit board, is the board base on which different components are electrically connected. It gives physical support to the components and is made of fiberglass or composite epoxy. PCBs are the main motherboards of any electronic device from simple ones to complex. Electronic devices can’t be thought of without PCBs.
As the field of electronics is increasing, the scope for PCB designing is on the rise. Not only that, students interested in electronics and taking it as major should have a command over PCB designing to excel academically. An effective PCB design reduces the possibilities of error and the chances of short circuit. A good knowledge in PCB designing will help the students to make their innovative ideas and projects come into reality. It will give the authority to explore the field of electronics.

On 1st August, 2017 IEEE RUET Student Branch organized a seminar on "IELTS for Higher Study" at ECE Seminar Room, ECE Building, RUET.
