If your engineering interests are the needs of the industrial or commercial sector, the Industry Applications Society (IAS) will be a valuable professional connection. One of the largest special interest societies within the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the IAS focuses specifically on the unique needs of industry and commerce. IAS is a source of professional power to its nearly 10,000 worldwide members. Through a network of over 100 chapters globally, regional events and national and international conferences, the society keeps members abreast of current developments in the area of technology in electricity and electronics. IAS enriches both its individual members and the industry as a whole through the sharing of specific industry-related solutions.
“IEEE RUET IAS Student Branch Chapter is working for the interest of the students for providing them the opportunity to develop, design, manufacture and other applications of Industry Professionals in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. I am honored to be a part of IEEE RUET IAS Student Branch Chapter and looking forward to improve our skills and expertise ourselves in the Industrial Professions”
Short Course on HVDC POWER TRANSMISSION
IEEE RUET IAS Student Branch Chapter organized a short training course on "HVDC Power Transmission" in association with IEEE RUET Student Branch at ECE Building, RUET with around 60 participants. It was a 7 day course starting from January 31, 2019 which eventually ended in March 08,2019.
Solar Irrigation and Solar Vehicle Projects in BD
IEEE RUET Student Branch successfully organized a Seminar on Solar Irrigation and Solar Vehicle Projects in Bangladesh at 21 January,2016 at RUET Auditorium.
In an agricultural country like Bangladesh, our social and economical conditions depend on agriculture. So, irrigation is an important factor here. As a developing country, it's not always possible to meet up the demand of electricity. The situation becomes
worse during the period of irrigation. Solar energy can be a solution for this crisis. On the other hand, the necessity and uses of solar vehicles are increasing. But, the progress in this sector is not so admirable. So, IEEE RUET
Student Branch arranged this seminar to share its importance and possibilities with students. The seminar is open for all the students of RUET. Details about the seminar are provided below:
